Ambient air or natural convection vaporizers use heat from ambient air to vaporize liquid and heat the gas. Their flow rate is the function of ambient-atmospheric conditions (temperature, wind, humidity). The tabulated data are for standard vaporizers for 8 hours continious operation with nominal capacity when ambient air relative humidity and temperature are 70% and 20oC respectively. Vaporizers are cleaned and certified for oxygen service.

Low pressure vaporizers are made of aluminum finned tubes while high pressure vaporizers are made of aluminum finned tubes with stainless steel core.
